About Us
Who we are & how we practice
A community rooted in practice
Mindfulness Club Cleveland began in 2021 as a small gathering of friends who wanted a consistent space to meditate together in the city. What started as six people in a living room has grown into a warm, diverse community that meets weekly, organizes retreats, and supports one another beyond the cushion.
We draw from multiple traditions โ primarily Buddhist-influenced mindfulness, somatic awareness practices, and the Insight Meditation lineage โ while remaining fully open and non-dogmatic. You don't need to hold any particular belief to belong here.
Our gatherings are free. We operate on the principle of dana โ generosity โ and welcome any contribution of time, energy, or resources from those who are able.
Our practice philosophy
We believe that the most profound changes come not from striving but from gentle, sustained attention. Our practice is simple: we sit, we breathe, we notice. We bring that noticing into our relationships, our work, and our city.
Beginner's mind is always welcome. In fact, it's encouraged.

Three pillars of our community
Presence
We return again and again to the breath, the moment, the body. That's the whole practice.
Compassion
Toward ourselves first, then rippling outward to our families, neighbors, and city.
Sangha
Community is the container for practice. We show up for each other โ on and off the cushion.
